Unfortunately we cannot accept applications for internships in Los Angeles until January 2018.
Villa Aurora Los Angeles and Berlin offer a three-month internship opportunity to advanced students. Interns gain insight into the work of an internationally active cultural institution. They are involved in planning and implementing cultural events, support the staff by assisting with administrative work and conducting guided tours. Furthermore, interns assist the fellows with their projects.
- Minimum age for applicants is 21
- Advanced stage of studies at the start of the internship
- Very good English skills
- Distinctive social competence
An interview in Berlin is encouraged.
After the completion of the internship the intern has to send a final report to the offices in Los Angeles and Berlin.
Please note that internships are assigned at least one year in advance. As a general rule we cannot consider applications submitted on short notice.
Please send the following documents to firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com:
- Letter of Intent (one page) that explains your interest in cultural management and the arts as well as your particular interest in Villa Aurora. Please tell us the time frame you will be able start your internship.
- A current CV in English.
For the period of the internship we will provide a room in the Villa Aurora and an allowance of $385 per month.
Please let us know if you are interested in a combined internship (three months in Berlin and three months in Los Angeles or vice versa). Internships in Berlin are only possible once a year from April to July and are focused on the preparation and attendance of the jury sessions as well as communication and event management.
In case of a confirmation you have to at least travel with a J1-Visa. Our partner for the application is CIEE.
